I have started to do a huge clean-up and edit of the book. This was the next stage in the editing process I needed to do. It was based on a combination of notes from my editor as well as notes of things I saw in it during my latest reread. Several subplots are being removed or retooled, but I have not deleted them forever. I have been keeping a separate file where I have been saving them for possible future use or ideas for other stories.
I am about a quarter way through this edit run, which I am hoping to have done by the end of September if not sooner. Since we are not even in September yet, and I am a quarter way through, I am sure it will be sooner.
This will be a light week for me, working-wise, as this upcoming weekend I will be at a four-day event. So, trying to get as much done before then as I can, while surviving the heat that has hit this week. Hope all is well with everyone and a good week for everyone.
P.S. Once the book is complete and off to be published, would you want to have the cut parts available for subscribers as a special exclusive to see what was taken out? Let me know.
